Job Description The sales person will manage Leisure, Corporate, or Group accounts within the Sales & Marketing department, working with local and international travel agents, tour operators, conference organizers, and DMCs for individual and group bookings.
Responsibilities include managing assigned agencies, achieving revenue targets for group and travel trade segments, and supporting the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing in reaching departmental goals.
Solicit existing and potential customers, follow up on established accounts via phone, correspondence, or personal contact.
Arrange appointments, conduct personal sales calls, telemarketing, and site inspections with corporate accounts.
Follow up on lost business and inform supervisors.
Negotiate offers / contracts for individual and group business.
Monitor sales results and propose corrective actions.
Explore industry data, new developments, and potential opportunities beneficial to the hotel.
Entertain clients in hotel F&B outlets and participate in promotional activities.
Monitor competitor hotels' activities and compare traffic data.
Contribute ideas for promotional events and activities.
Handle reservation requests when necessary.
Maintain and update the customer database system (SFA).
Update clients on hotel developments and inform management of profile changes.
Assist in preparing sales action plans, attend sales meetings, and develop new ideas.
Participate in sales training, trade fairs, sales blitzes, and fam trips.
Stay informed about hotel activities, promotions, and rates.
Report on sales activities and customer feedback.
Visit assigned accounts at least twice annually.
Prepare weekly activity reports for the Sales Director.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Cross-sell other Kempinski Hotels globally.
