Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments.
Responsibilities
- Contractor’s purchase orders, lead times and delivery follow-up.
- Monitor material approvals, check local content requirements, draft statistics and reports.
- Supervise the implementation of detailed logistics plans, including access roads, laydown areas, and traffic management (both internal and external).
- Identify bottlenecks, implement solutions, and streamline processes.
- Liaise with Contractors, subcontractors, and procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials, and monitor reception, storage and utilization.
- Coordinate with Contractors to ensure efficient movement of materials and equipment across multi-location sites.
- Oversee the delivery, storage, and distribution of construction materials (e.g., aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel).
- Oversee transportation logistics for oversized or heavy loads, including route planning, permits coordination.
- Liaise with Contractors and authorities to obtain necessary permits for transport and site access.
- Conduct regular audits of Contractors Logistics Plans.
- Provide regular reports to project managers and stakeholders on logistics performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Review correspondence related to logistics matters.
- Coordinate with other packages (where they exist) and disciplines.
- Coordinate with materials, traffic and HSE managers for material supply and internal traffic matters.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Industrial or Transportation Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).Applicable Experience : over 15 years in project management, particularly in mega construction projects.Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Proficiency level of English language. Arabic language is a plus.Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.Willingness to work in a multinational environment.Additional requirements
Transferable Iqama in case of non-Saudi.Based in Riyadh.Valid SCE membership.Seniority level
