Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Senior Manager - Project Controls
to join our team, who can support a team of professionals overseeing every phase of a large-scale project. The candidate will develop, manage, and execute all phases of the project controls effort on the program. The role manages a team across all aspects of project controls functions, utilizing best practices and extensive experience with various types of projects and clients. Responsibilities
Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems. Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides strategy-type recommendations to support decision making. Leads the establishment of the program master coding architecture, integrating all functional requirements, and the development of a robust, scalable reporting system across the program. Guides the development and implementation of project controls procedures to support best practices for schedule, cost, earned value, risk, and change management processes. Manages a team of Project Control specialists who analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, and monitor performance against an established schedule with critical milestones; assesses the impact of design and construction changes and schedule slippages. Recommends and oversees the implementation and customization of project control systems to meet project requirements. Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel. Completes performance reviews and provides development goals and opportunities for assigned employees. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field 20+ years of overall related experience, including 10+ years in a similar managerial role Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team Proven strong stakeholder management skills to executive levels Strong business acumen and ability to make data-driven decisions PMO / PMC experience is required Desired Skills
Engineering knowledge in civil, electrical, mechanical, or related field Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal / external correspondence Proficient PC skills including Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage and encourage a team of construction management professionals Ability to interface with all levels of project team, client, and others Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels regardless of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
