Senior Manager - Project Controls

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Manager - Project Controls to join our team, who can support a team of professionals overseeing every phase of a large-scale project. The candidate will develop, manage, and execute all phases of the project controls effort on the program. The role manages a team across all aspects of project controls functions, utilizing best practices and extensive experience with various types of projects and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
• Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides strategy-type recommendations to support decision making.
• Leads the establishment of the program master coding architecture, integrating all functional requirements, and the development of a robust, scalable reporting system across the program.
• Guides the development and implementation of project controls procedures to support best practices for schedule, cost, earned value, risk, and change management processes.
• Manages a team of Project Control specialists who analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, and monitor performance against an established schedule with critical milestones; assesses the impact of design and construction changes and schedule slippages.
• Recommends and oversees the implementation and customization of project control systems to meet project requirements.
• Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
• Completes performance reviews and provides development goals and opportunities for assigned employees.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
