Pre-Sales Engineer - AV & IT Infrastructure

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Pre-Sales Engineer with a strong background in both Audio-Visual (AV) and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert and a skilled communicator, capable of understanding client requirements, designing compelling solutions, and effectively articulating the value proposition of our integrated offerings. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between sales and technical delivery, ensuring successful project acquisition and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Technical Solution Design & Consulting : Collaborate with the sales team to understand client business needs, technical requirements, and strategic objectives related to AV and IT infrastructure. Conduct thorough discovery sessions, site surveys, and needs assessments. Design comprehensive, scalable, and cost-effective AV and IT solutions, including but not limited to : AV systems (Video conferencing, control systems, digital signage, unified communications, displays, projectors, sound systems, room scheduling), IT infrastructure (Networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud integration, cybersecurity, structured cabling, data centers, network security). Develop technical proposals, bills of materials (BOMs), system architecture diagrams, and scope of work documents. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AV and IT.
• Client Engagement & Presentation : Deliver persuasive technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution workshops to prospective clients and stakeholders at all levels. Act as a trusted technical advisor, addressing concerns and providing expert guidance. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Participate in client meetings, workshops, and pre-sales calls to gather requirements and present solutions. Work with the sales team to develop winning strategies and drive revenue growth. Liaise with internal engineering, project management, and support teams to ensure smooth handovers and successful project implementation. Provide technical training and support to the sales team on new solutions and technologies. Contribute to continuous improvement of pre-sales processes and collateral. Assist in responding to RFPs / RFQs with detailed technical specifications and justifications.
