Lead Architectural Engineer

Overview We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Architectural Engineer with 15+ years of professional experience to lead the architectural design and technical delivery of complex, large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Architectural Engineering and possess extensive knowledge in planning, designing, and executing high-profile developments, with a deep understanding of building systems, codes, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead the conceptual and detailed architectural design process across all project stages—from feasibility to construction and handover.

Provide technical leadership and oversight to the architectural engineering team and ensure alignment with client requirements, codes, and project goals.

Review, validate, and approve architectural drawings, design reports, specifications, and shop drawings.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, MEP) to ensure integrated design solutions.

Oversee site implementation of architectural works and verify compliance with approved designs and materials.

Ensure design quality control, adherence to local and international building codes, and best industry practices.

Participate in design reviews, value engineering workshops, and technical meetings with stakeholders.

Manage architectural aspects of project timelines, resource allocation, and design deliverables.

Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers within the team.

Engage in sustainability, façade engineering, and innovative building technologies as part of the design leadership process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural design and engineering, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.

Strong portfolio of major projects (mixed-use, commercial, institutional, infrastructure, or urban developments).

Expert knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies.

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and Adobe Suite.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Strong communication and client-facing capabilities.
