Description
The Catering Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of staff, ensuring efficient management and achievement of targets. The role involves delegating day-to-day responsibilities to the catering team to produce and deliver high-quality, cost-effective food services.
Responsibilities include :
- Supporting the House Manager to meet customer needs, handle booking demands, and maintain high standards of catering provision within budget.
- Operating and controlling food-related services, including developing interesting and innovative menus.
- Monitoring food quality, portion control, dietary provisions, and food service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate record-keeping, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock control, and ensuring costs stay within budget.
- Ensuring high levels of cleanliness in accordance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations, reporting defects and breakdowns, and assisting with statutory risk assessments.
- Monitoring stock control and ordering records to ensure cost accuracy within budget.
- Identifying staff performance issues and supporting staff development related to catering and domestic requirements.
- Participating in service development activities, attending meetings, taking minutes, assisting in marketing strategies, and undertaking necessary training.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the House Manager, which may include weekend work.
