Job Purpose / Objective :

Help diagnose and treat neurological diseases and disorders, perform non-invasive neurological tests on patients as directed by Physician using different electro neuro diagnostics equipment. Neuro tech frequently use electroencephalogram (EEG) machine which monitors and records brain patterns.

Job Purpose / Objective : Help diagnose and treat neurological diseases and disorders, perform non-invasive neurological tests on patients as directed by Physician using different electro neuro diagnostics equipment. Neuro tech frequently use electroencephalogram (EEG) machine which monitors and records brain patterns.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Performing Neuro diagnostic procedures :
• Electroencephalography (EEG)
• Nerve conduction studies (NCS)
• Other Neurology procedures
• Prepare and assist patients for prescribed procedures.
• Explain procedures and provide education to patients and families.
• Adhere to infection control principles.
• Follow JCIA / CBAHI standards to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow documentation policies.
• Assist Neurologist in performing NCS and Electromyography (EMG).
• Operate and manage neuro diagnostic equipment and report malfunctions.
• Answer patient and family queries.
• Monitor patient vital signs.
• Initiate emergency measures and call for help if needed.
• Maintain stock supplies and reorder on time.
• Keep proper records of procedures for billing purposes.
• Schedule patients to avoid delays and dissatisfaction.
• Perform portable procedures for in-patients or other departments.
• Ensure proper care in the use of machines and supplies.
• Provide post-procedure care to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Attend educational and training sessions.
• Participate in meetings as needed.
• Contribute to person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enhance patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform delegated tasks by Charge Nurse within your knowledge, skills, and ability.
