Overview
Tender Unit Country Lead - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a senior professional to lead our Tender Unit operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the Country Lead, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of tenders across all business lines and services in which Egis operates. You will manage a high-performing In-Kingdom tendering team, embed a strong focus on Transportation and Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) pursuits and act as a key strategic partner to Business Development, Delivery and Commercial functions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of tenders in collaboration with the Tender Unit Service Line Partners. Manage and guide an In-Kingdom tendering team, ensuring resources are well allocated, deadlines are met, and submissions reflect the highest standards.
- Work closely with key Service Line stakeholders, Business Development community and Commercial teams to deliver a strategic, client-focused approach to secure key opportunities and build strong market positioning.
- Mentor and develop the In-Kingdom tendering team, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with internal governance.
- Track performance, manage risk and refine processes to strengthen competitiveness in the KSA market.
- Report to the Tender Unit Director for Middle East and South Asia and contribute to securing major opportunities that shape Egis’ position in the KSA market.
- Lead Resource Allocation and Delivery Management by forecasting tender activity, prioritising submissions, and ensuring timely delivery against strategic objectives.
- Drive a strategic, client-focused approach to securing opportunities by shaping tender strategies with Bid Managers, Business Development and Technical Delivery teams.
- Lead the focus on Transportation and PMC pursuits, with supported efforts on architecture and engineering design opportunities; develop tailored delivery models for major infrastructure and programme management projects.
- Guide pricing strategy in partnership with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure competitive, profitable tender submissions.
- Oversee the technical storytelling and quality of submissions to ensure alignment with technical solutions offered by each business line.
- Provide senior input on high-value tenders, including opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations; take ownership of major tenders.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration across Business Development, Delivery and Commercial functions to promote a unified approach to tendering.
- Ensure tender governance, compliance with client requirements and regulatory obligations; identify and mitigate risks early.
- Track tendering KPIs, analyse outcomes and implement process improvements to maintain competitiveness in the KSA market.
Qualifications
Degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred), with significant experience in tender management, business development, and leading complex transportation and PMC tenders.Proven leadership in managing complex, high-value tenders with efficient resource allocation and team oversight.Strong understanding of the KSA market, client landscape and procurement frameworks.Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with expertise in pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and risk mitigation.Experience in developing and executing client-focused tender strategies, tailoring submissions to align with key client needs.Ability to mentor and develop teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.Strategic decision-making skills, providing insights and recommendations on business opportunities and tendering approaches.Proficiency in tender governance and compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations.Excellent stakeholder management skills, acting as a senior liaison between tender teams, executive leadership, and cross-functional departments.Strong analytical skills, with experience in performance monitoring, reporting, and process optimisation for continuous improvement.Ability to drive innovation in tender processes, introducing new strategies to enhance efficiency, competitiveness, and overall submission quality.Exceptional communication and organisational abilities, ensuring clear, persuasive tender submissions and seamless coordination across teams.Deep understanding of market trends and industry best practices, with the ability to anticipate and respond to evolving business needs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
