Responsibilities
Lead the Details process and review / check the structural shop drawings from start to finish (form work and reinforcement), ensuring that all shop drawings meet client requirements, are safe, functional, overseeing the development of detailed construction plans. Use Revit and be able to QS from the model.BIM Modeling and Analysis : Create detailed / shop drawings using the REVIT program.Project Planning and Execution : Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring that the civil engineering team remains aligned with the project's goals.Design Development : Develop and review the detailed shop drawings for various construction components (e.g., structural elements, foundations, etc.).Regulatory Compliance : Ensure shop drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate various design elements and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.Quality Assurance : Conduct quality checks and reviews of civil shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and project requirements. Include all required dimensions, materials, installation methods, and other technical information.Documentation : Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to civil shop drawings, including design specifications, materials lists, and revision history.Project Coordination : Coordinate with project managers and other engineering teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on advanced design software, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve skills and workflows.Role Accountability
Drafting Software Proficiency : Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, to create accurate and efficient design drawings and models.Project Planning and Feasibility : Assess project feasibility considering factors like site conditions, environmental impact, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.Accuracy and Precision : Ensure accuracy and precision in all technical drawings, adhere to industry standards and specifications to produce reliable drawings.Interpretation of Specifications : Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documents accurately to translate them into detailed drawings.Risk Management : Identify potential risks and hazards associated with the project and implement mitigation measures.Communication and Collaboration : Communicate effectively with engineers and designers to clarify requirements, address issues, and ensure alignment throughout the design process.Innovation and Optimization : Research and implement new BIM technologies and workflows to improve efficiency.Development : Develop and create the shop drawings on Revit program.Collaboration : Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, contractors, and other professionals involved to ensure smooth project execution.Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that civil engineering designs comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.Construction Oversight : Ensure that drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations to maintain safety and quality in mechanical engineering projects.Team Leadership : Manage or mentor junior engineers and staff, guiding them in technical tasks, and ensuring their professional growth.#J-18808-Ljbffr
