Structural BIM Modeler is responsible for creating and managing accurate 3D BIM models for structural elements of infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and other civil structures. The role involves close coordination with engineers, architects, and other discipline modelers to ensure constructible, clash-free models and adherence to project standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Generates quantity take-offs, schedules, and reports directly from BIM models.
Implement design revisions and update models based on field markups or engineer instructions.
Support project teams during BIM coordination meetings and workshops.
Maintain and update BIM content libraries for structural components, including precast and cast-in-place elements.
Ensure compliance with local authority standards and project specifications.
Key Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience as a Structural BIM Modeler in infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure , Tekla Structures , and Navisworks Manage .
Knowledge of AutoCAD , Civil 3D , or other design software is an advantage.
Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel structures, bridges, and retaining walls .
Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650, LOD, BEP) and best practices for infrastructure projects.
Ability to read, interpret, and implement structural design drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Knowledge of precast and modular construction modeling in BIM.
Understanding of construction sequencing and coordination for complex civil structures.
