The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the organization’s market presence. This role requires identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and nurturing strong client relationships to achieve sales targets and support long-term business expansion.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution Develop and implement business development plans aligned with organizational goals. Manage account planning and ensure collaboration between vendor Account Managers (AMs) and internal sales teams.
Market Expansion & Client Acquisition Research and identify new markets, customer needs, and industry trends. Acquire new customers and grow existing accounts through cross-selling and up-selling. Design growth strategies focused on revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management Deliver tailored solutions by understanding client-specific requirements. Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and professionally. Build long-term partnerships to support sustained business growth.
Marketing & Sales Enablement Lead marketing initiatives to boost lead generation and market penetration. Conduct regular client visits to maintain relationships and close deals. Collaborate with technology partners to stay updated on products and innovations.
Training & Product Awareness Provide ongoing product and solution training to sales and technical teams. Ensure compliance with vendor partnership requirements through effective knowledge sharing.
Solution Selling Identify customer challenges and propose tailored solutions. Manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
Qualifications & Experience Education Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Preferred :
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Experience Required :
5–7 years of experience in business development or sales, with proven success in meeting / exceeding sales targets in competitive markets. Preferred :
10+ years of experience in business development, ideally within technology, services, or B2B sectors.
Skills Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and partner relationships. Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills. Strong problem-solving and solution-selling abilities. Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite. Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable in fast-paced, competitive environments. Team leadership and mentoring skills with experience guiding sales teams. Knowledge of technology, services, or B2B industry sectors (preferred)
