Parsons is looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our team. This role involves supervising all discipline design / drafting personnel on large and complex projects and contributing to state-of-the-art projects in the Kingdom and GCC. What You'll Be Doing : Support in developing and implementing the design strategy from concept to completion, providing technical guidance during construction to align with project goals. Oversee the work of General Contractors, ensuring activities meet high standards of quality and safety; address and resolve construction-related technical issues. Review and approve all project designs, ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements; manage engineering and design efforts for all disciplines. Collaborate with Project Managers / Directors to resolve construction, quality, schedule, or productivity issues. Coordinate with design consultants to address technical challenges and incorporate best practices and innovative solutions. Coordinate all discipline technical reviews for the program. Schedule and coordinate project interactions among third-party design consultants, clients, and local stakeholders. Integrate competing elements into planning and execution so project requirements flow smoothly. Ensure familiarity with Standards, Codes, and other procedural requirements, review and approval requirements. Manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals. Represent the company with the client and third-party design consultants during project execution; follow up on instructions and commitments. May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies. Support establishment of Project Design Management Plan, Project Execution Plan, QA / QC Plan, and other required documents. Establish project requirements for assigned areas and develop, implement, and manage : project design briefs, KPIs and deliverables for third-party design consultants, and value management / value engineering activities addressing safety, constructability, environmental and sustainability considerations. Collaborate with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans; ensure project goals are met or exceeded. Develop action plans to address potential cost overruns or delays; inform client and management of changes. Provide support in maintaining current and timely change orders with third-party design consultants. Promote technical and commercial excellence through QA processes. Monitor and report progress of all project design activity to senior management, including milestones and potential cost or schedule impacts. Establish weekly Design Management team meetings to review status and formulate action items. Communicate effectively, orally and in writing; prepare correspondence, reports, and client presentations and project senior management briefings. Articulate qualifications of key project design positions with senior management; assist in identifying resources to form effective project design teams. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture / Engineering (Civil, MEP, Structural) or related field. 15+ years of engineering and design management experience on large-scale programs, with 10+ years in Buildings / Facilities (retail, hospitality, tall towers), Entertainment, Theme Parks; experience managing international design consultants is desirable. 10+ years in a construction environment that includes complex buildings / facilities in retail, residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors. Proven supervisory / managerial能力 with excellent written and oral communication and strong knowledge of industry practices and regulations. Ability to work in a multi-organizational environment and develop collaborative relationships with clients. Ability to develop strong working relationships with third-party design consultants; interface and coordinate with other disciplines; interpret and deliver client vision; hands-on technically in the project. Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards. Professional registration preferred (AIA, RIBA, CEng, PE, LEED or similar). Proven ability to perform in a management capacity with strong communication skills.
