Job Description : The System Configuration Management – SWD Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise software deployment, OS imaging, and endpoint management solutions leveraging Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune in a hybrid on-premises / cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- SCCM Architecture & Operations : Configure and maintain SCCM site infrastructure, distribution points, client collections, and compliance baselines to ensure reliable software delivery
- OS Imaging & Task Sequences : Build, update, and validate Windows 10 / 11 OS images; develop and maintain MDT / SCCM OSD task sequences for automated deployments
- Application Packaging & Deployment : Package, test, and deploy MSI / App-V applications via SCCM and Intune; migrate legacy packages to modern management frameworks
- Intune & MDM Management : Design and implement Intune device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and conditional access rules for mobile and desktop endpoints
- Automation & Scripting : Develop PowerShell scripts to automate imaging, packaging, and reporting tasks, reducing manual effort and build time
- Patch Management & Update Compliance : Plan and execute monthly patch cycles; monitor update deployments and remediate failures across Windows endpoints
- Incident & Change Management : Troubleshoot SCCM / Intune-related incidents (e.g., PXE boot failures, content replication issues), escalate complex problems, and document resolutions
- Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with networking, security, and support teams to ensure certificates (PKI), firewall rules, and network services support endpoint management workflows
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of hands-on experience administering SCCM Current Branch and Microsoft Intune in enterprise environmentsStrong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and PKI integration for certificate-based authenticationProficiency with OS deployment tools : MDT, WDS, and SCCM OSD task sequencesPowerShell scripting skills for automation of packaging, imaging, and reportingMust hold one of the following certifications :Microsoft Certified : Endpoint Administrator AssociateMicrosoft 365 Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateOther Qualifications (Good-to-Have)
