Job Purpose

A Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment within a plant. This role involves performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing components to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs : Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Equipment Operation : Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, including LIMS guidelines.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Machinery, Equipment & Utilities Repairs and Maintenance.
  • TRUMPF Laser / Punching / Bending Machine Maintenance CNC maintenance.
  • PLC Based systems, VFDS / C02 / Stud welding Machines.
  • Powder Paint Plant, Shot Blast machine maintenance.
  • Utility Maintenance — Compressor, Electric Stackers, and high‑speed shutters.
  • Work with Maintenance Team to perform all departmental related activities day‑to‑day.
  • Projects – Continuous improvements, Modifications.
  • Machinery and Equipment Service and Maintenance.
  • Attend breakdown calls and periodic maintenance.
  • Do routine maintenance as scheduled.
  • Generate maintenance activity job reports.
  • Keep service records.
  • Teamwork in cost control and continuous improvement activities and implementation.
  • Implement H&S and environmental related work.
  • Work independently and with Maintenance Team members.
  • Communicate plant related issues to Engineers effectively.
  • Coordinate with all departments to carry out day‑to‑day shop floor activity.
  • Meet departmental KPIs.
  • Maintain the system in good condition by following the schedules.
  • Effective preventive maintenance to avoid downtime without compromising HSE requirements.
  • Machine uptime team KPI – 98% and above.
  • Zero accidents at workplace.
  • All departmental KPIs.

    • Job Context

  • All above mentioned under Key Responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the growth of the company in totality; the role is based in Lucy KSA.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed by line manager.

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills

    Minimum Qualification

    Diploma Electrical & Electronics with good working knowledge in sheet metal fabrication machinery.

    Minimum Experience

    5–7 years experience in maintenance department, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing industry. Good exposure to industrial maintenance in Gulf region.
