Role Summary
The Area Manager is responsible for leading and developing store teams in alignment with brand and company strategy, overseeing operations, driving sales, controlling costs, and ensuring top‑tier retail standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience. The role provides managerial direction for store success and ensures an ‘outstanding’ shopping experience for customers.
Role Profile
- Ensure sales and operational goals and expectations are achieved through regular monitoring.
- Ensure that store managers and their staff keep stores to the highest possible standards, are well organised and properly merchandised at all times.
- Achieve sales targets through a proactive commercial agenda, developing and planning new business initiatives that drive overall sales and business improvement.
- Monitor cash flows, sales performance, inventory control, cash sales receipts and operating records.
- Ensure all customer service initiatives are in place; resolve issues quickly and courteously.
- Guide the Store Managers to ensure the key priority targets and goals in customer service are consistently achieved.
- Monitor stock control to keep store shrink within company guidelines, protecting company property and assets.
- Provide critical analytical feedback on store performance at the weekly / monthly trade reviews together with the Brand Director.
Requirements
High school certificateQualification in a Retail‑related field is an added advantage7+ years’ experience in retail operations with a minimum of 3 years in a Store Management roleEnglish proficiencySeniority level
