Construction Manager

As the Construction Manager, you will ensure the timely execution of projects while adhering to time, cost, and quality standards. You will be responsible for carrying out the work according to the drawings, with a strong focus on health and safety. In this role, you will :

• Delivery of construction projects in compliance with the approved construction schedule;
• Create plans of action for the contractors and keep a close eye on cost control;
• Execute work as per drawings, specifications, and appendices;
• Oversee any hurdles, risks, and obstacles that may halt the progress of work;
• Assist contractors by clarifying RFIs and work processes, and achieving key milestones, including fulfilling all monthly billing requirements for timely proceedings;
• Acquisition of materials in a timely manner and their delivery from the employer, along with effective management of the site;
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed;
• Ensure quality workmanship, adequate manpower, and proper material utilization;
• Monitor and provide timely updates on the progress of work to management;

Coordinate between Head office and Site.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in civil engineering.

Minimum 12-15 years’ Experience with construction.

Financial Acumen : Understanding of budgeting and financial management to ensure projects remain within financial constraints.

Ability to solve problems and use your initiative.

Negotiation Skills : Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers effectively.

Safety Consciousness : Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
