The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing façade installation works on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and progress targets are met. The role involves day-to-day site supervision, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and resolving site-level technical and logistical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of façade systems (GRP, GRC, UHPC etc.).
- Ensure installation is as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and specifications.
- Monitor daily site progress and update trackers in coordination with planning team.
Inspection & Quality
Coordinate with QA / QC for inspections and ensure compliance with ITPs and quality standards.Conduct site checks to ensure proper alignment, anchorage, sealing, and finishes.Rectify non-conformities or quality issues during or after installation.Safety & Site Compliance
Ensure adherence to HSE procedures, toolbox talks, and PPE usage during façade activities.Identify and mitigate site hazards related to façade access or handling.Enforce site safety protocols and escalate violations if needed.Verify façade materials delivered to site against the delivery schedule and approved submittals.Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of façade materials (e.g., GRP, GRC cladding panels).Coordination & Communication
Liaise with main contractor, other trades, and internal teams for smooth execution.Attend site coordination meetings and resolve interface issues (civil / MEP / structure).Report daily / weekly updates to the Project Manager and keep logs of activities.Additional Responsibilities (Role-Specific) :
Lead the entire façade construction team, including engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.Prepare look-ahead programs and coordinate workforce planning.Drive project milestones and report major risks or delays to management.Approve site-level plans such as sequence of installation, resource deployment, etc.Required Skills
Strong understanding of façade systems and construction methods.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Familiar with installation techniques, access systems, and lifting procedures.Strong site coordination, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.Working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and site reporting tools.#J-18808-Ljbffr
