Seeking a highly skilled leader to oversee the governance, policy development, and enterprise risk management functions. The ideal candidate will drive organisational excellence by developing systems, enhancing operational processes, and ensuring the entity’s compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification and implementation of change initiatives across systems, processes, and practices related to policy development, ensuring alignment with the evolving business environment.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies, systems, procedures, and operations while continuously identifying and recommending improvements to meet regulatory requirements and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Supervise on-the-job training for team members, provide timely updates on risk-related tasks, and offer constructive feedback to support employee development.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to identify workforce needs, recruit talent, and oversee training and development activities in alignment with the organisational structure.
- Ensure the timely, accurate, and comprehensive preparation of departmental reports that meet internal standards and business requirements.
- Prepare and deliver regular and customised management reports highlighting opportunities, challenges, and strategic insights to support effective decision‑making.
- Contribute to developing and executing the department's strategy and annual plans in alignment with the entity’s vision and strategic objectives.
- Set departmental performance goals, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with the entity’s overarching goals.
- Approve departmental work plans and oversee their execution to ensure timely and effective delivery of assigned activities.
- Lead, manage, and monitor departmental operations, assign tasks to staff, and ensure high‑quality output across all functions.
- Conduct workshops with agencies and internal departments to understand key processes and identify associated risks.
- Develop, review, and monitor enterprise risk registers with risk owners, ensuring alignment with key risk indicators and maintaining up‑to‑date documentation.
- Establish risk escalation, monitoring, and oversight mechanisms.
- Review enterprise risk analysis processes and treatment plans to ensure integration with interconnected risks and timely execution.
- Recommend the entity’s risk appetite in collaboration with risk owners.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend best‑practice solutions for enterprise risk management.
- Promote awareness and understanding of enterprise risk management across all entity employees.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Public Policy, or related field (Master’s preferred).8+ years experience in enterprise risk management, governance, or policy development.Strong leadership and team development capabilities.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.Seniority level
