Risk Manager II, FinOps

This role requires one to be a self-starter with good business modeling skills, keen attention to detail and a strong track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders. It involves regular interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrate comfort with ambiguity, and maintain a high bar on performance. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record for hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Lead projects to drive controllership improvements across the Finance Operations teams.
• Drive quality control measures to ensure accuracy and compliance in finance operation processes and report the health of service from a quality perspective in an easy yet insightful manner.
• Develop, modify, and maintain the operational and design effectiveness of Finance Operations processes and controls.
• Identify gaps across end-to-end processes and partner to implement solutions that mitigate risks.
• Advise the Finance Operations team by assessing risks and controls.
• Coordinate with multiple teams within AP and AR to ensure best practices are followed and implemented.
• Partner with control owners to facilitate responses to internal and external auditors.
• Ensure standardization of Finance Operations policy creation, modification, and maintenance.
