Scope and Functions of the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join our leadership and operations team in Riyadh, KSA . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, managing school fees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting ERP implementation. Prior experience in a school environment is essential, as is strong command over IFRS, Saudi tax laws, and hands-on ERP experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Accounting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, including billing and fee collection.
- Oversee revenue recognition and maintain the general ledger.
- Manage payroll and statutory payments.
- Liaise with auditors and produce ad-hoc financial reports.
- MIS, Budgeting & Coordination
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings; prepare monthly MIS reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting; provide financial analysis to support school leadership.
- Monitor expenses and recommend cost optimisations.
- Act as the finance liaison for school principals and head office teams.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi taxation laws (VAT, Zakat).
- Prepare and submit returns as required and remain updated on regulatory changes.
- ERP Management
- Lead ERP implementation and integration for financial operations.
- Provide training and ongoing support to system users within the finance function.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, or similar) is preferred.5–8 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a school in Saudi Arabia or the GCC .Proven experience with ERP implementation and financial systems.Strong knowledge of Saudi tax regulations , including VAT and Zakat .Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.Language Requirements
Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with school leadership, regulatory bodies, and central teams.Skills & Competencies
