Scope and Functions of the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join our leadership and operations team in Riyadh, KSA . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, managing school fees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting ERP implementation. Prior experience in a school environment is essential, as is strong command over IFRS, Saudi tax laws, and hands-on ERP experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Accounting
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in line with IFRS.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, including billing and fee collection.
  • Oversee revenue recognition and maintain the general ledger.
  • Manage payroll and statutory payments.
  • Liaise with auditors and produce ad-hoc financial reports.
  • MIS, Budgeting & Coordination
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings; prepare monthly MIS reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting; provide financial analysis to support school leadership.
  • Monitor expenses and recommend cost optimisations.
  • Act as the finance liaison for school principals and head office teams.
  • Taxation & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi taxation laws (VAT, Zakat).
  • Prepare and submit returns as required and remain updated on regulatory changes.
  • ERP Management
  • Lead ERP implementation and integration for financial operations.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to system users within the finance function.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, or similar) is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a school in Saudi Arabia or the GCC .
  • Proven experience with ERP implementation and financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi tax regulations , including VAT and Zakat .
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Language Requirements

  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with school leadership, regulatory bodies, and central teams.
  • Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with HR systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage recurring administrative tasks efficiently and reliably.
