Job Description :
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and hazard-free work environment by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing occupational health and safety policies and procedures, while ensuring full compliance with relevant local and international safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement approved safety plans and procedures at the worksite.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations.
- Monitor compliance with safety instructions and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prepare reports on incidents, injuries, and safety violations, and submit them to management.
- Contribute to promoting a strong safety culture in the workplace.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.Professional certifications in safety such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or IOSH (preferred).Minimum of 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety.Excellent communication skills.Required Skills :
