Senior Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Monitor production processes, adjust schedules, and ensure the effective use of resources.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the production team in troubleshooting operational problems.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate production risks.
• Lead and mentor production staff.
• Coordinate training sessions to ensure staff are skilled in the latest technologies and safety procedures.
• Encourage teamwork and ensure effective communication within the production department.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet the required standards and specifications.
• Address any quality concerns or non-conformances in a timely manner and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and take preventive actions to avoid recurring issues.
• Manage production budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze production costs and develop strategies to reduce waste, lower energy usage, and optimize resource allocation.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all production equipment is operating efficiently and is properly maintained.
• Lead efforts in preventive and predictive maintenance to avoid production downtime.
• Prepare detailed reports on production metrics, process improvements, and equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and maintenance schedules.
