Senior Production Engineer

Responsibilities

Oversee daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Monitor production processes, adjust schedules, and ensure the effective use of resources. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices to minimize waste and enhance productivity. Collaborate with design, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Diagnose and resolve complex production issues and equipment malfunctions. Provide technical support and guidance to the production team in troubleshooting operational problems. Develop contingency plans to mitigate production risks. Lead and mentor production staff. Coordinate training sessions to ensure staff are skilled in the latest technologies and safety procedures. Encourage teamwork and ensure effective communication within the production department. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet the required standards and specifications. Address any quality concerns or non-conformances in a timely manner and implement corrective actions. Conduct root cause analysis and take preventive actions to avoid recurring issues. Manage production budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness. Analyze production costs and develop strategies to reduce waste, lower energy usage, and optimize resource allocation. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all production equipment is operating efficiently and is properly maintained. Lead efforts in preventive and predictive maintenance to avoid production downtime. Prepare detailed reports on production metrics, process improvements, and equipment performance.
