Senior Planning Manager (DB)

As the Senior Planning Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining project programs. You will be responsible for creating and managing comprehensive project schedules, overseeing planning and scheduling processes, reviewing and approving contractor programs, and monitoring performance through analysis and reporting to effectively manage scope, risks, and interdependencies within the district's program.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and scheduling activities across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop detailed project plans with clear timelines, resource allocations, and dependencies.
• Establish and maintain project schedules, track progress, and address deviations or delays.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify critical paths and potential bottlenecks, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders, providing updates and adjusting plans as necessary.
• Evaluate project performance and recommend process improvements in planning and scheduling.
• Guide and mentor planning team members, fostering development and adherence to best practices.
• Support accurate cost and resource forecasting to facilitate effective budget management.
• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of planning / scheduling experience in construction delivery, ideally within contractor and consultancy environments.
• Proven track record of implementing planning and schedule management on large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience deploying planning tools, systems, and techniques for maintaining and analyzing cost and resource-loaded programs.
• Expertise in Primavera P6 and Acumen Fuse software.
• Experience working effectively within matrix and integrated teams on major infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of progress measurement and Earned Value Management analysis, including its application.
• Previous experience in KSA / Middle East preferred. Knowledge of enterprise management software such as P6, MS Office 365, and Power BI is advantageous.
• Experience with Theme Parks and / or Hotels projects is a plus.
• Proficient, accurate, and professional in all aspects of work and communication at all levels.
