Job Description The Reporting Assistant will provide project-level support in the collection, validation, and analysis of construction and project controls data. The role is key in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports, tracking RFIs, submittals, progress, and KPIs, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support project execution. The Reporting Assistant will work closely with the Reporting Manager, contractors, consultants, and site teams to maintain consistency and transparency of reporting across all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Collect, verify, and consolidate construction data from contractors, consultants, and site teams.
Track and update project registers including RFIs, submittals, NCRs, and change orders.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of all reporting inputs.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports and dashboards.
Use Primavera P6, Power BI, and Excel to generate progress curves, KPI dashboards, and performance charts.
Monitor and analyze project KPIs (schedule adherence, productivity, cost, etc.) and highlight variances.
Support reporting automation and standardization initiatives.
Assist in reviewing contractor’s look-ahead schedules and compare against baseline.
Track project milestones, deliverables, and progress against planned schedules.
Support reporting on critical issues, risks, and opportunities to project leadership.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to collect real-time updates.
Ensure alignment and consistency in reporting across client, consultant, and contractor teams.
Assist in preparing executive summaries and client-facing presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a related field.
Strong background in project reporting and controls.
Advanced user of Primavera P6, Power BI, and MS Excel.
Knowledge of construction processes including RFIs, submittals, NCRs, and change management.
Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports and dashboards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working on large-scale construction / infrastructure projects.
Desirable skills
Experience in mega-projects / programs in the Middle East.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and progress measurement systems.
PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
