We are an upscale restaurant lounge in Jeddah and seeking a young experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of modern and classic cuisine to our kitchen. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for menu development, kitchen operations, team management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to train kitchen staff.
What Are The Responsibilities
Develop and design creative, seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and standards
Supervise and manage all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
Ensure consistency and excellence in food quality, taste, and presentation
Monitor kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and meet service standards
Oversee inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure freshness and cost control
Manage food and labor costs to align with the restaurant's budget and profitability goals
Enforce health, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with local regulations
Conduct regular kitchen inspections and implement corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with front-of-house managers to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
Create customized menus for private events and special occasions
Stay updated on culinary trends and continuously introduce innovative ideas
Lead by example and foster a positive, professional kitchen environment
Handle customer feedback related to food and make necessary adjustments
Ensure equipment maintenance and cleanliness of all kitchen areas
Follow all other regular kitchen standards
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Head Chef with no less than 4 years experience.
Culinary school graduate or diploma in culinary arts completed
Good knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene
Must be fluent in English and Arabic is a plus
Must have good communication skills
Polished and professional appearance
Firm but fair
Ability to work well in a team environment
Computer knowledge
Attention to detail
