Associate Director of Sales - Classifieds

Overview : You will be responsible for the sales of the classifieds business in the Eastern Region. The role includes setting up the sales function, developing products, contributing to market sizing, closing deals with agencies, and developing relationships with government agencies in the assigned region. The regional head of sales classified will set and monitor sales targets for the classifieds sales team in coordination with strategy teams.

In this role, you will :

  • Develop regional sales strategy for meeting business plan numbers developed by the group
  • Collaborate with backend & strategy teams on zoning and product pricing to optimize sales volumes
  • Hire sales resources and maintain an optimal team size to achieve sales targets
  • Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for sales at all levels in coordination with the strategy team
  • Analyse and report sales KPIs on a periodic basis to the business head(s)
  • Set monthly / quarterly sales targets in coordination with the strategy team
  • Monitor listings trends and product performance, suggesting changes as needed
  • Identify best practices to improve sales processes and overall marketing and sales efficiency
  • Oversee P&Ls to maintain regional profitability as per the business plan
  • Maintain relationships with repeat clients to sustain satisfaction and promote future opportunities
  • Evaluate new development opportunities to grow the business
  • Provide continuous coaching to team members to help them reach their full sales potential and maintain motivation
  • Conduct Training Need Assessments (TNA) of regional sales staff and execute training programs in coordination with sales strategy heads
  • Initiate performance improvement interventions with the sales strategy team
  • Work with sales operations to ensure optimal service levels and smooth agency and customer operations
  • Oversee market research, competitor and customer analysis on a regular basis
  • Raise process requirements to tech and strategy teams for optimal sales operations
  • Suggest improvements to the company portal to enhance sales
  • Develop team and consumer promotions for sales enhancement in coordination with strategy and product teams
  • Conduct market outreach events and expos to expand the agency and client base; represent the company at expos and events
  • Foster good relationships with regulatory bodies for smooth operations
  • Conduct frequent market visits with the sales teams to maintain field knowledge
  • Lead morning meetings to give direction and coordinate team activity
  • Oversee special projects as assigned by the line manager

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of prior sales management or active sales experience
  • Proven Commercial sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial avenues
  • Strong understanding of market research and data analysis methods
  • Deep understanding of the market services / products
  • Understanding of tech platforms sales
  • Ability to forecast sales accurately
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and problems
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong team orientation, plus creativity, communication, and analytical skills
  • Adaptability and high integrity
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to listen to and communicate with clients, sales members, and managers for effective real estate sales management
