About this Position The Senior Area Sales Manager is empowered to and holds full accountability for Henkel business performance within the assigned area via daily, weekly, and monthly activities in liaison with both, internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Executes sales strategy and develops action plans for area of responsibility in line with strategic priorities
Delivers sales and distribution targets (KP OSG and PC % and / or GP% targets) in the assign area of responsibility
Leads, coaches and mentors sales team members and ensures their respective education and development
Ensures efficient geographical coverage and cross-selling opportunities to achieve full business potential
Monitors sales team’s daily activity to ensure KPIs are met and standards followed
Coordinates the daily operations with the internal and external stakeholders
Builds excellent relationship with the distributor & key customers
Actively controls and steers the order and payment cycle (collection) with the distributor, as well as retail customers
Manages stock level at distributor and ensures FIFO principles are followed at each POS
Controls Henkel product pricing on shelf and the service quality level for all assigned customers
Prepares sales forecasts and liquidation plans as per the requirement
Identifies new growth opportunities and brings them forward to the line manager
Ensures a good maintenance of Henkel POSM in the market and takes initiative for any improvements required
Supports the team and customers with the required technical knowledge
Supports marketing department with any market intelligence data required
The Sr. ASM will dedicate 70% of his / her time in the market, managing and coaching the sales team via daily activities
What makes you a good fit
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration
Good command of English and Arabic is a must
Minimum 10 years of sales experience, preferably FMCG, out of which minimum 2 years in a senior role
Leadership skills to steer the team on daily basis – people management experience is a must
Distributor management experience is a must
Retail and van sales operations experience required
MS Office Proficiency and solid business acumen required
Good communication and negotiation skills
Strong follow-up skills and high determination to achieve results
Proactive, positive, enabler & team player mindset
