You will provide instrumentation & controls engineering services on large or mega projects to Worley's and its customers', including technical support and supervision within the instrumentation & controls engineering team.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage instrumentation & controls engineering services that meet Worley's, its customers', and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
Manage instrumentation & controls engineering project requirements.
Manage instrumentation & controls engineering services such as : participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and comply with required checking procedures.
Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
Provide advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. For example, oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation.
Act as the instrumentation & controls engineering Lead on specific projects.
Capable of independently handling instrument and control engineering responsibilities on various oil & gas projects, both onshore and offshore.
Train junior engineers on various aspects of instrument and control engineering.
Quality Assurance and Control requirements of the design process.
Prepare engineering, construction and material estimation, schedule, resource planning and update resource capacity.
Actively participate in safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle (e.g., PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL assessment & classification methodology and implementation, QRA, and Fire & Gas mapping).
Qualifications, Training Required
The incumbent shall have experience of practical engineering design experience appropriate to the discipline in the offshore and onshore Oil & Gas industry, with at least a few years spent in offshore design.
Offshore experience is a must.
Advanced knowledge of International and Saudi Aramco Standards.
Saudi Aramco Offshore Project experience is a preferred prerequisite.
Working on both projects and proposals across all phases of projects including Conceptual Studies; Basic; FEED; Detailed Design; Procurement.
Knowledge and experience with instrumentation & control systems such as process instrumentation, RTU, SCADA, Fire & Gas, Hydraulic ESD Systems & Valves.
Experience in Procurement support for RFQ, TBE and Vendor Document Reviews.
Involved in construction support in technical queries, field verifications and handling LSTK / LTA Contractors.
Comprehensive knowledge of : control and safeguarding philosophies and specifications; process control and measurement principles.
Design and installation of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control and / or monitoring systems including DCS, PAS and SCADA systems.
Be able to act as subject matter expert for Hyd. ESD system.
Design and installation of fire and gas detection and protective systems.
Design and installation of process control valves and shutdown valves.
SIL assessment & classification methodology and implementation.
SPI knowledge and experience as an SPI active user.
Instrument design software tools such as flow and valve sizing calculations.
Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and instrumentation & controls engineering specific software.
Education Required Accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Instrument & Control Engineering) or equivalent
Preferred PE registered or able to register.
