Overview
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with applicable regulations, and the continuous improvement of accounting processes. This role supports strategic financial decision-making and plays a vital role in maintaining financial health and integrity across the Group.
Location : Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) - Riyadh
Experience Required : Minimum of 7 years total experience, including at least 3 years in a Senior Accountant role in real estate development or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decisions.
Internal Controls and Compliance
Maintain and improve internal control systems.Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations.Support audit processes and implement audit recommendations.Team Support and Collaboration
Provide guidance to junior accountants on complex financial matters.Collaborate with finance and operational teams to resolve accounting issues.Assist in performance reviews and support professional development.Taxation and Regulatory Compliance
Prepare and submit tax filings in line with KSA regulations.Monitor changes in tax laws and inform relevant stakeholders.Liaise with tax authorities and address inquiries as needed.Systems and Process Improvement
Oversee the accurate use of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).Recommend and implement enhancements to accounting systems and processes.Promote automation and standardization to improve efficiency.External Audit Coordination
Support external audit processes by preparing required documentation.Address audit queries and assist in timely issue resolution.Ensure accuracy and transparency in all audit-related disclosures.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.Professional accounting certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA).Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Knowledge & Skills
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.Strong understanding of financial controls and governance.Familiarity with tax regulations and financial practices in KSA.Ability to manage and improve accounting systems and tools.Seniority level
