Head Mixologist

Overview

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Head Mixologist is responsible for leading the beverage program, crafting innovative cocktails, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves managing the bar team, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and staying ahead of industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Cocktail Creation and Menu Development : Design and implement creative, seasonal, and signature cocktails that align with the establishment’s concept.
• Collaborate with chefs to create pairings for food and beverage menus.
• Continuously update the menu to reflect trends and customer preferences.
• Bar Operations Management : Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation of bar supplies and ingredients.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
• Team Leadership and Training : Recruit, train, and mentor bar staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain consistency.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss goals, performance, and updates.
• Customer Service : Engage with guests to provide a personalized and memorable experience; address inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally; promote events, tastings, and promotions.
• Financial Management : Monitor bar revenue and costs to meet financial targets; develop pricing strategies and cost-effective methods to maximize profitability; analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Innovation and Trends : Stay informed about industry trends, new techniques, and emerging ingredients; experiment with new concepts to maintain a competitive edge.
