Head of Technology

Overview

We are seeking the Head of Technology to lead the technology organization for a fintech-focused venture. This strategic role will oversee software engineering, architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure , ensuring compliance with SAMA regulations and alignment with innovation and growth objectives. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of technology leadership experience , a proven track record in fintech or regulated industries , and the ability to scale high-performing tech teams while driving secure, user-centric digital solutions .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technology organization including software development, architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure.
• Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap in line with business innovation goals.
• Ensure compliance with SAMA regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, and data protection standards .
• Oversee system architecture, technical design, and code quality for scalable, resilient solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end technology lifecycle – planning, development, deployment, and support.
• Partner with business, compliance, and product leaders to deliver secure, user-centric solutions.
• Drive adoption of modern fintech technologies : APIs, microservices, AI, open banking, cloud.
• Establish best practices in testing, QA, DevOps, and monitoring for system reliability.
• Champion agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban) for efficiency and adaptability.
• Mentor and grow the technology team, fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement .
• Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, translating emerging tech into competitive advantage.
