Position Overview The Senior Energy Engineer / Auditor will lead advanced energy audits (ASHRAE Level I, II, and III) across commercial facilities (hospitals, universities, office towers, shopping malls, and government complexes) and industrial facilities (manufacturing plants, refineries, warehouses, utilities). The role requires technical depth in HVAC systems, thermal systems, lighting, compressed air, and building automation, combined with leadership in developing and implementing Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs). The candidate will be supervising junior engineers, preparing detailed audit reports, and supporting energy efficiency projects under Energy Performance Contracting (EPC).
Responsibilities
Lead and execute ASHRAE Level I, II, and III audits for commercial and industrial facilities.
Perform baseline energy assessments and develop ECMs for HVAC, lighting, boilers, chillers, furnaces, compressed air, water systems, etc.
Conduct energy modeling and simulation studies to evaluate potential energy savings.
Develop financial analyses (ROI, payback, life-cycle cost analysis) for ECMs.
Ensure compliance with SEEC, Saudi building codes, and international standards.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports with technical and financial recommendations.
Guide and mentor junior engineers / auditors in survey techniques, data analysis, and report preparation.
Oversee implementation of ECMs, including retrofits, operational improvements, and system upgrades.
Manage M&V activities in line with IPMVP protocols to validate achieved savings.
Collaborate with design, operations, and project management teams to integrate energy efficiency into facility operations.
Present findings and recommendations effectively to clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Provide support to procurement team for purchase orders and vendor negotiation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Thermal Engineering.
6-8 years of proven experience in energy auditing or deep operation & maintenance experience for commercial & industrial sectors.
Hands-on experience in ASHRAE Level I, II, and III audits.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, thermal, hydraulic, and process systems.
Certifications of CEM, CMVP are plus
