Duties and Responsibilities

• Advise and assist the management in all aspects of his specialty.
• Provide Installation Teams support to Sectors for installation, operations, and maintenance.
• Carry out maintenance of communication equipment, as required.
• Carry out Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMIs), as required.
• Properly document maintenance activities (PMIs, Job Control Documents (JCDs) and configuration changes).
• Perform intermediate level maintenance, as required.
• Produce / update engineering training material for On-the-Job training and conduct training as required / requested.
• Participate in modification and enhancement proposals and upgrades.
• Keep abreast of emerging C4ISR communication technologies, research, and user trends in terms of technology choices.
• Evaluate new communications technologies for application in a military environment.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by management within his specialty.

Job Specification

Qualifications

Shall have a minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering. Specialized training on various wire communications systems such as the SDH, DWDM, PABX and / or other associated sub-systems is required. Must be proficient in the use of desktop computer software packages, in particular MS Office.
