Take ownership of copy briefs and answer them to a very high standard. Develop creative strategies that are forward-thinking and in-line with current media trends. Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and devise strategies to achieve them. Offer creative ideas and encourage others to share theirs. Check all copy that generated by team members and offer feedback when necessary. Manage multiple projects, with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly. Meet deadlines and stay within budget constraints. Push clients towards fresh, exciting ideas. Developing strong, compelling copy for digital, print, video and occasional offline initiatives. Producing written story content for use across a variety of channels. Producing targeted and engaging copy for online marketing campaigns and activities. Producing engagement content and copy for digital and other platforms. Producing written content for offline marketing activities. Producing content for internal communications. Taking the lead on presenting copy and / or creative concept to commissioning teams, as needed. Leading and participating in brainstorms / creative sessions to generate ideas and directions for specific projects and campaigns. Supporting junior colleagues in capacity building activities to develop copywriting and concepting skills. Editing in-house existing content to ensure accuracy and brand consistency. Supporting brands awareness aims and ensure all copy respects the tone of voice, brand message guidelines, and global editorial standards. Maintaining voice, tone, and terminology guidance to incorporate updated input from colleagues and broader language changes. Support capacity building initiatives for colleagues to develop and strengthen copywriting skills. Managing multiple projects and deliver to brief, deadline and budget. Being available for ‘out of hours’ on-call work in the event of a humanitarian or other emergency appeal. Being willing to adapt and ‘roll your sleeves up’ to get the work done across a small team with big ambitions. Skills required
Significant experience in professional, commercial writing Agency experience for 3 years at least is a must A strong record in creating immaculate copy that stands out from the crowd The ability to plan and strategies high-profile projects A persuasive and confident approach to creativity Effective team management capabilities A keen attention to detail and timescales Familiarity with creative processes and techniques – including digital media Confidence in building a rapport with clients and nurturing good working relationships Seniority level
