Your impact Jacobs is looking for a highly experienced and results‑driven Construction Director to lead and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in managing complex construction projects within the water, wastewater, or process plant sectors, with a strong understanding of regional construction practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of wastewater treatment plant construction projects from inception to completion.
Oversee project teams, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
Implement risk management strategies and resolve project-related issues promptly.
Ensure quality control and assurance throughout all phases of construction.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to the construction team.
Here’s what you’ll need
Education : BSc in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Total Experience : Minimum of 20 years of relevant construction experience.
Project‑Specific Experience : At least 10 years of experience in Water / Wastewater Treatment Plant construction or similar process plant industries.
Regional Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Middle East construction industry.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with international construction standards and local regulatory frameworks.
Preferred Skills : PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Experience with FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
