The Manager of Application SRE is tasked with the leadership and oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Application infrastructure. This pivotal role requires a strategic focus on enhancing scalability, security, and operational efficiency, ensuring optimal cloud operations and alignment with the company’s broader technical and business objectives. They are responsible for the innovation and evolution of cloud strategies, adherence to industry standards, and driving forward initiatives that bolster the organization’s technological growth and advancement.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of cloud infrastructure engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Foster the latest in Tech Trends in order to support the function of cloud engineering such as SRE, DevOps, DevNet, DevSecOps.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for cloud infrastructure initiatives.
- Align cloud strategies with overall business and IT objectives.
- Oversee the design of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with architects to ensure architectural coherence.
- Lead and coordinate the implementation and deployment of cloud infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
- Drive the adoption of automation and orchestration for provisioning and configuration management.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Optimize resource utilization and costs through continuous monitoring and adjustments.
- Implement best practices for security standards that comply with SAMA, NCA, and internal Information Security Department.
- Implement best practices for cost management and resource efficiency.
- Manage relationships with cloud service providers.
- Stay informed about new features, services, and pricing models.
- Conduct capacity planning to ensure cloud infrastructure meets current and future demands.
- Lead incident response efforts related to cloud infrastructure issues.
- Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure problems.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide regular reports on system performance, incidents, and project status.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security teams.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and management to ensure effective communication.
Qualification and Experience
