At Six Flags Qiddiya City, the Commis Chef 2 will support kitchen operations in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food across all Food & Beverage outlets. Working alongside senior chefs, this position ensures dishes are prepared to high standards while maintaining strict hygiene and safety protocols. Responsibilities include basic food preparation, assisting in meal service, and contributing to overall kitchen efficiency to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. A diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is a plus.

Experience 0-1 years of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary environment.

Skills

Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.

Proficient in using kitchen knives for tasks such as chopping, slicing, and dicing, with a focus on safety.

Ability to manage time efficiently during peak service hours, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of meals.

Languages : Fluent in English.

Job Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with senior chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination during food preparation and service.

Assist in preparing ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and portioning, to support efficient kitchen operations.

Ensure all kitchen areas and equipment are clean and organized, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Support meal service by assisting with plating and presentation of dishes according to established guidelines.

Prepare basic food items such as sauces, salads, and soups under the guidance of senior chefs.

Train in new culinary techniques and kitchen procedures to improve cooking skills continuously.

Monitor food storage, ensuring ingredients are properly labeled and rotated to maintain freshness.

Provide support during peak service times, helping manage food preparation and timely delivery of meals.

Participate in special events or themed food services, assisting with preparation and execution of menu items.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Follow instructions for preparing special dietary meals, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, or allergy-sensitive dishes, in line with guest requests.

Assist in receiving and checking food deliveries, ensuring quality and quantity match orders, and report discrepancies to senior chefs.

Ensure proper portion control during food preparation to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.

Help set up buffet or self-service areas, ensuring food is replenished and attractively presented.
