Overview
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. The role serves as the single point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication, coordination of technical and business resources, and successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact with the client throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understand client’s business needs, technical environment, and expectations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Project Planning & Delivery
- Translate client requirements into clear project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules; identify dependencies and risks.
- Manage internal technical teams, vendors, and subcontractors for project execution.
- Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure scope is fully implemented and delivered to agreed quality standards.
- Execution & Monitoring
- Track project progress against baseline schedule and budget.
- Anticipate delays or cost overruns and apply corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
- Coordinate system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, client policies, and industry regulations.
- Risk & Quality Management
- Identify and mitigate project risks early.
- Handle escalations, resolve conflicts, and ensure business continuity.
- Apply quality assurance processes across all deliverables.
- Oversee transition to client operations / support teams, ensuring stability of the solution.
- Deliver all required design, implementation, and training documentation.
- Collect lessons learned and contribute to improving internal processes, templates, and delivery models.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.Experience
7–10 years of progressive experience in IT project management.Proven track record in managing complex, multi-vendor IT projects.Experience in sectors such as infrastructure, applications, cloud, or cybersecurity is highly advantageous.Skills
Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management capabilities.Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent).Strong written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.Ability to manage risks, resolve conflicts, and deliver under pressure.Seniority level
