Overview
MEP Engineer - Electrical role at WSP in the Middle East, based in Riyadh. This senior position provides expert guidance, technical oversight, and problem-solving support for a major development project with a focus on electrical systems across MEP disciplines.
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to conduct high-level design reviews, perform technical analyses, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex design challenges while ensuring alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on MEP systems with a strong focus on electrical design, integration, and compliance.
- Conduct high-level design reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
- Perform detailed technical analyses to support design decisions and resolve engineering challenges.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive and efficient design solutions.
- Review and validate MEP drawings, specifications, and calculations, particularly for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Support the development of MEP design strategies, value engineering, and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor design progress and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a strong background in electrical systems.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering; Master’s degree or chartered status preferred.Proven experience in high-level design review and technical problem-solving.Proficiency in MEP design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, HAP).Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.Familiarity with Saudi building codes, SEC standards, and regional engineering regulations.Join our global team of more than 69,000 employees and contribute to landmark projects that shape communities around the world.
