MEP Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced

MEP Engineer (Mechanical)

to oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects in

Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have

7-12 years of experience , including significant exposure to the

Gulf region , and expertise in handling MEP systems, particularly for commercial and residential projects. Key Responsibilities :

Manage the installation, commissioning, and operation of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and building management systems.

Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and civil teams to ensure integrated MEP systems are effectively designed and executed.

Review mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.

Oversee the execution of MEP works on-site and ensure timely delivery of systems.

Lead the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they are fully functional before handover.

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure quality control in all mechanical installations.

Perform technical assessments and resolve any issues related to mechanical systems.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure the project progresses within budget and schedule.

Prepare material submittals, technical documentation, and RFIs.

Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations on-site.

Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).

7-12 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a strong focus on mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.).

Prior experience working in the Gulf region , particularly in

Saudi Arabia , is preferred.

Expertise in local building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g.,

SASO ,

SEC ,

NFPA ).

Proficient in

AutoCAD ,

Revit , and other design software for MEP systems.

Strong understanding of

HVAC ,

plumbing ,

fire fighting systems , and other mechanical engineering disciplines.

Experience with

testing and commissioning

of mechanical systems.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
