Overview
We are currently recruiting a Business Director for one of our key clients – a top-tier integrated marketing and communications agency with a strong presence in the region. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leading their Riyadh operations, driving growth, managing a high-performing team, and ensuring top-tier delivery across creative, strategy, media, and engagement functions.
About the Role
The Business Director will act as the strategic lead for the agency’s Riyadh hub. This role requires a unique mix of commercial acumen, digital expertise, and leadership skills. You will be responsible for nurturing client relationships, overseeing delivery teams, managing profitability, and helping the agency stay ahead in a fast-evolving market.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior clients
- Lead strategic discussions, campaign planning, and performance reviews
- Ensure client satisfaction and long-term relationship growth
Business Development
Identify and pursue opportunities within current and new sectors (government, semi-government, digital-first)Lead RFP responses, pitch development, and commercial negotiationsCollaborate with leadership on high-value business strategiesTeam Management
Lead a multidisciplinary team covering :Account ManagementCreative (Art, Copy, Motion)Media (Digital & Search)Social & CRMFoster a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and resource planningCommercial Oversight
Own the P&L and ensure financial health of the Riyadh operationDrive organic growth and identify upsell / cross-sell opportunitiesOversee budget planning, forecasting, and reportingDigital & Strategic Fluency
Understand app-based business needs (e.g. user acquisition, retention, performance optimization)Use data and insights to inform marketing and brand strategyCollaborate closely with product, media, and UX teams to deliver integrated campaignsAgency Culture & Representation
Represent the agency’s values and creative standardsSupport leadership initiatives, transformation programs, and operational improvementKey Qualifications
Proven experience in integrated marketing or advertising (agency-side preferred)Strong leadership capabilities across multidisciplinary teamsCommercially minded with financial management experience (P&L, budgeting, forecasting)Digital-first mindset and understanding of platform-based businessesFluent in Arabic and English (a must)Seniority level
