Purpose
To maximize the generation and capture of profitable sales of all products across all market segments within the assigned region / sector, while delivering the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner to support customer retention and growth. To achieve targeted growth in market share by working collaboratively with other departments to identify, develop, agree, and implement effective strategies and initiatives — including the development of new high-potential products — to increase the company’s attractiveness and competitiveness to customers.
Strategic Importance
Contribute to the overall achievement of strategic plans and promote sustainable business success by leading and managing the regional / sector Marketing and Sales team, delivering targeted levels of sales and profit margin. Proactively seek improved ways to position and represent the company strongly as a supplier of choice within an increasingly competitive market. Drive strategies and actions to increase competitiveness and capture market share / profitable sales in a price-sensitive market. Build strong customer relationships and work with other departments to ensure the highest possible levels of delivery / product performance, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention. Identify new markets and opportunities, providing market intelligence to influence and drive the development of new products with high sales potential and / or higher margins.

Key Accountabilities
Contribute actively as a member of the senior Marketing and Sales team in the development and achievement of strategic goals and annual plans, delivering targeted sales performance and promoting sustainable growth. Maximize the sales contribution and return of the region / sector in line with strategic plans by developing and executing aggressive yet realistic sales plans and targets for each product across assigned customer segments. Enhance the positioning of products within the market by working closely with product managers, continually evaluating the competition, and developing unique selling propositions. Identify new opportunities for growth by researching market trends and emerging product requirements. Support the development of new product specifications with the Technical department to address new and emerging customer needs. Develop plans to maintain and expand the customer base, identifying and sharing new opportunities with responsible Product Managers. Ensure prompt handling of sales requests and inquiries by coordinating with the Technical department. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and effective technical support throughout the sales cycle. Maximize profit contribution by effectively managing sales activity, pricing, and contract negotiations. Support Sales staff in negotiating profitable deals through pricing matrices and discount guidelines. Oversee key sales processes such as bid preparation, sales order processing, compliance, invoicing, payment collection, and credit control. Actively participate in marketing activities and execution of marketing plans, including exhibitions and promotional materials. Ensure appropriate staffing levels by driving timely recruitment and training of staff, supporting localization and nationalization ambitions as required. Select, direct, develop, and motivate managers and staff within the Sales team to deliver high performance and build future capabilities.

Achievement of sales against targets (overall, by region, by product, by customer segment) Enquiry-to-order closure rate Actual contribution margin versus target margin Revenue share from new customers Year-on-year market share growth by segment Customer Satisfaction Survey results and performance against targets Variance in cash collection / invoicing performance
Key Authorities And Dimensions
Manage the sale of all products within the region Responsible for achieving targeted revenue and planned margins Develop and manage an annual budget, including marketing, promotions, and salary / benefits Make decisions within agreed ranges for pricing, mark-ups, and discounts; recommend exceptions to the VP for approval Commission and sponsor customer service surveys to inform future planning Recommend hiring, appointment, and promotion of direct reports (subject to final approval)
Required
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Minimum of 10 years’ sales and marketing experience in the mechanical and / or electrical engineering field At least 5 years of managerial experience in a middle or senior role with target / budget responsibility in the cables or related industry Fluent in Arabic and English
