As our company continues to establish its presence in Saudi Arabia, the Government Relations Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring our staff’s legal status in the kingdom, aligning with local regulatory requirements while facilitating smooth interactions with government entities. This role requires expertise in navigating Saudi labour laws, corporate compliance, and the ability to handle government processes such as BVVs, Iqama renewals, and permits. The ideal candidate will help mitigate operational risks and enable the company to operate efficiently and lawfully within the Kingdom.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all government portals and related activities and processes (Iqama, visas, GOSI, Qiwa, Mudad, Balady, CR, CoC, municipality, civil defence, insurance, etc.).
- Ensure timely acquisition and renewal of licenses, permits, approvals and company documents (commercial registration, municipality licences, Saudization certificates, etc.).
- Act as the main liaison with ministries, municipalities and other regulatory authorities to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
- Handle inspection visits, regulatory audits, and provide required reports to management.
- Monitor changes in government regulations and update management with recommendations.
- Maintain strong relationships with relevant government entities to support business operations.
- Advise on the requirements and policies relating to expatriate visas of all types and Iqama applications, renewals, and other government‑related processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials to facilitate efficient processing of company requirements.
- Advise on Nitaqat status compliance with Saudization quotas and other Ministry of Human Resources & Social Development regulations.
- Accompany staff to public administration appointments to assist with processing.
- Advise and participate in any disputes that may arise from the government authorities in relation to our activities.
Requirements
Proven experience (10–15 years) in a compliance, government relations or similar role within Saudi Arabia.In‑depth knowledge of Saudi tax laws, labour regulations and corporate compliance frameworks.Strong understanding of BVV and Iqama processes, as well as other government administrative requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with government officials and internal stakeholders.Skilled user of government e‑service platforms.Fluent in English (spoken and written).Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Advanced MS Office skills.Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field.Existing network or connections with key government entities in Saudi Arabia.Seniority level
