Role Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing and developing the store teams to maximize profitability, maintain brand and company image, ensure operational compliance, and deliver an excellent customer experience. The role is fully accountable for the daily operations of the store and its workforce in line with the overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered at all times. Take ownership of customer complaints and concerns and address them in a professional, efficient and effective manner. Coach and mentor the store teams to enhance customer service.
- Constantly assess team performance against set key criteria to strengthen the team skills.
- Drive sales and strive to enhance the business, ensuring KPI targets (such as net sales, footfall conversion, shrinkage, stock turn) are met. Create innovative approaches to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and increase profitability.
- Identify key causes of underperformance and drive action plans through analysis and commercial awareness; provide analytical feedback to Operations, Buying and Planning Departments regarding product, ranging, and pricing.
- Ensure adherence to Model Store Standards related to visual merchandising (VM) and ensure team understanding of VM principles and standards. Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Plan, organize and execute in-store processes including cash handling, stockroom and stock-take administration; control inventory and maintain adequate security to minimize stock shortages.
- Ensure all Health & Safety, Security and Compliance policies are followed; raise concerns to the Excellence and Compliance team as needed.
- Deliver and review in-store duties, including cleaning procedures, pre-opening inspections and checks.
