Overview
The 3D Architectural CAD Technician (Senior) supports the spatial and technical development of large-scale immersive, cultural, and themed environments. This role ensures creative concepts are accurately translated into buildable architectural and scenic documentation, working closely with Creative Direction, 3D Experience Design Director, Art Direction, and Scenic Design to deliver precise, fabrication-ready drawings that align with narrative, aesthetic, and operational intent.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed CAD drawings, plans, sections, and elevations for immersive and themed environments.
- Translate conceptual sketches, 3D models, and artistic layouts into accurate architectural documentation.
- Collaborate with Scenic, Industrial, and Lighting Designers to integrate structural, electrical, and AV considerations into the spatial design.
- Maintain drawing standards, layer structures, and version control across all project phases.
- Coordinate with fabrication and construction teams to ensure documentation aligns with build methods, materials, and site constraints.
- Review consultant and vendor drawings to ensure adherence to design intent.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related design / technical field.5+ years of experience in architectural drafting or CAD documentation for immersive, exhibition, museum, or themed entertainment projects.Proven ability to deliver precise documentation in complex, multi-disciplinary creative environments.Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or Vectorworks.Strong understanding of construction detailing, materials, and fabrication processes.Familiarity with 3D modeling and visualization workflows.Details
