Industrial Complex, Riyadh The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh. Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar’s facilities. The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone. Job Purpose

To lead technology scouting, research, and innovation initiatives for medium-voltage switchgear solutions, focusing on disruptive technologies, eco-friendly insulation systems, advanced switching devices, and digitalization. The role identifies emerging trends, builds external partnerships, and translates scientific advancements into practical solutions that shape the company’s technology roadmap and long-term strategy. Key Accountability Areas

Technology Scouting & Foresight

Continuously monitor global research, patents, and market innovations in MV switchgear, solid-state switching, advanced insulation systems, and digital solutions. Benchmark competitor products, academic breakthroughs, and industry advancements to inform technology roadmaps. Provide foresight into disruptive technologies and long-term R&D opportunities.

Research & Innovation

Lead investigations into advanced materials, eco-friendly insulation gases, smart sensors, and novel switchgear mechanisms. Validate new concepts using modeling, simulations, prototypes, and experimental studies. Translate cutting-edge research into scalable and commercially viable solutions.

Collaboration & Partnerships

Build strategic relationships with universities, research institutes, and global technology partners. Represent the company at technical conferences, international forums, and standards committees. Drive intellectual property protection by identifying and securing patentable innovations.

Knowledge Transfer & Guidance

Provide scientific and technical leadership to R&D teams, mentoring engineers and fostering innovation culture. Conduct workshops and training to strengthen the organization’s technical expertise. Contribute to the company’s long-term R&D vision, strategy, and technology development roadmap.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency : Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job Delivery : Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules. Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time. Provide a periodic report detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks. Problem-Solving : Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues. Quality : Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities. Business Process Improvements : Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible. Compliance : Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions. Health, Safety, and Environment : Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products / services. Qualifications

Academic Qualification :

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Any relevant field Work Experience :
