Role Purpose
Drive sales growth and profitability within Key Accounts by developing strong customer relationships and executing strategic account plans. This includes planning, managing, and closely monitoring LTA spend, product listings, store visibility, branding initiatives, and promotional activities in alignment with RCDs and the account operations team. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective implementation of key initiatives at the field level, maintaining continuous communication and follow-up with regional sales and merchandising teams to deliver excellent in-store execution and maximize brand visibility.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the preparation and recommendation of the Accounts section budget by conducting detailed analyses and compiling data based on historical performance, market conditions, and plans.
- Monitor the financial performance of the Accounts section against approved budgets to identify and address areas of underperformance promptly, while capitalizing on opportunities for performance improvement.
- Coordinate daily operations of the Accounts section within the region to ensure that all work processes are executed as designed and comply with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate reports in alignment with company and departmental requirements, policies, and performance standards.
- Manage LTA funds effectively to optimize spend while maximizing sales, profitability, and business growth for ASD; negotiate in-store visibility in return for investment.
- Ensure all products are accurately listed and maintained in the customer database to guarantee correct pricing and consistent availability.
- Plan and implement promotional activities to strengthen ASD’s market position, drive sales growth, and proactively counter competitor actions.
- Conduct regular market visits to evaluate ASD’s service standards, focusing on product availability, visibility, and overall execution, while ensuring timely follow-up on identified opportunities.
- Identify needs and opportunities to propose solutions, to grow the business within the assigned region, including detailed weekly / monthly activity calendars.
- Negotiate & Implement agreements on assigned accounts, to generate more profitable business growth within the region
- Monitor competitors’ performance to accurately forecast and negotiate with customers to increase in-store visibility for ASD products.
- Analyze Accounts performance and evaluate business drivers to identify future areas of growth. Conduct regular, detailed business reviews with Key Accounts to discuss and agree on growth opportunities.
- Liaise with Accounts at the HO or Branch level to address daily operational / service issues between ASD and Key Accounts.
- Forecast the weekly / monthly Accounts sales to meet customers’ expectations within the company standards & regulations
- Complete regular customer satisfaction surveys with Accounts, report on results, and formulate recommendations for improvement.
- Execute a disciplined professional approach to Account management, company, and customer standards with a strong focus on effectiveness and efficiencies, ensuring strong ROI.
- Manage the activities and work of subordinates and evaluate their performance by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets
- Stimulate subordinates and manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
